Hmm – upon reflection I see what you mean. It appears that ImDB and
wikipedia are confused as well. They claim 6 episodes, but from looking
at ImDB’s descriptions, it appears as if their descriptions are of the first
3 (correctly) and then the next 3 are are of PBS episodes 4 5 & 6.

Very strange, and thanks once again.

Hello! These episodes make up the entire series. If you split each episode in half, you’ll end up with 6 episodes for PBS. You watched the entire series — just in three full-length episodes, rather than in six episodes split in half.

Yes, that is what I expected, and yes, as they were (and whether called 1 2 3, or 1+2 3+4 5+6) the first 3 (UK format, from 2025 there, 2026 on PBS) episodes were as expected. It would be nice to see the remaining 3 (UK format, from 2026, but apparently still counted as season 1) episodes sometime though.

Hello! Thanks for the detailed report. I checked the release history and it appears PBS split the original UK 3-feature-length-episode version into 6 shorter episodes. The first 3 episodes we have are the complete/full-length UK versions, each around 90 minutes, so those should already be final and correct. However, it’s possible that episodes 4–6 on the site were sourced from the wrong PBS release and may duplicate content already covered by earlier episodes. I’ve left only the full-length episodes on the website. Have a nice day!

Hi,

Could you please recheck episodes 4-6 (the ones added in May) – they appear
to have been fetched from the PBS “The Puzzle Lady” series, which is the same
show, but broadcast differently.

Those 3 episodes (just approx 50 mins each) are the same content as the 2nd half
of episode 2, and then episode 3, split into two parts – and I’d presume the first 3 PBS
episodes are the two halves of episode 1, followed bu the first half of episode 2.

The actual episodes 4-6 should, I believe, be between 90 and 120 mins each,
like the first three that you have, or might possibly be PBS episodes 7-12, or
PBS might consider them to be series 2, as they originated in the UK a year
later than the first 3 episodes.

Is there any chance you can find the real episodes 4-6 ?
They apparently appeared on Ch 5 (UK) on March 12, 19, and 26, all 2026.
