This is a historical series dedicated to the famous Medici dynasty and their ascension to the throne of Florence. Events unfold in the Italian lands of the 14th century. The entrepreneurial Giovanni de Medici organizes a bank, so that the family has great power and enjoys wide privileges and opportunities. Soon, Giovanni suddenly dies under rather mysterious circumstances. His sons are trying to find out who was involved in the death of his father. And the Medici have enough enemies and ill-wishers. Representatives of the aristocracy and papacy, who are afraid of losing influence on the Italian nation, are actively opposing their power. Moreover, in a large dynasty, the struggle for money and the right to inherit does not stop for a minute.
