“My Lady Jane” is a historical fantasy romance series on Amazon Prime Video, based on the novel by Jodi Meadows, Brodi Ashton, and Cynthia Hand. The series reimagines the life of Lady Jane Grey in an alternate 16th-century England. In this version of history, Lady Jane Grey is coerced by her mother into marrying Lord Guildford Dudley. Jane, as a cousin to Edward VI, is in line to the throne. The world of “My Lady Jane” is inhabited by Ethians, humans who can transform into animals, and ordinary humans, known as Verity. The Verity ruling class has driven Ethians out of society, leading to the formation of a resistance group called the Pack. The series follows Jane as she navigates her unexpected rise to power, her marriage to Guildford, and the political intrigue and danger that come with her new position. Along the way, she discovers her own strength and the importance of standing up for what she believes in.
