Colin from Accounts is an Australian romantic dramedy series. Created by Harriet Dyer and Patrick Brammall, who also star as the main characters, the show follows the lives of Gordon, a microbrewery owner, and Ashley, a medical student, who are brought together by a car accident involving a stray dog they decide to adopt and name Colin. In Season 1, Gordon’s day takes a turn for the worse when he accidentally hits the dog while distracted by Ashley’s impulsive actions. This incident leads to an unexpected bond between the two as they navigate their vulnerabilities and personal issues. Throughout the season, they deal with various comedic and heartfelt situations, including awkward sexual encounters, family dynamics, and the challenges of cohabitation. The season finale, “High Needs People,” sees Gordon and Ashley facing a significant decision about their future together and the fate of Colin, the dog that brought them together.
