“No Other Choice” (2025) — centers on Man-su, a veteran paper-manufacturing specialist who believes he has secured the perfect middle-class life with his wife Miri, their two children, two dogs, and the family home he worked for years to buy. Man-su promises to find another position within three months, but more than a year of interviews, humiliations, and temporary retail work leaves him facing debt, the possible loss of his house, and the terrifying idea that his skills no longer matter. When Moon Paper refuses even to consider him, he becomes convinced that the problem is not his qualifications but the existence of other applicants. He creates a false recruitment process to identify the strongest competitors, studying their careers, families, habits, and vulnerabilities before deciding to manufacture the vacancy he needs by removing them one by one. Yet Man-su is neither a natural killer nor a reliable strategist, and each carefully imagined plan becomes a grotesque mixture of panic, coincidence, domestic secrecy, and dark comedy. As Miri tries to protect the family and understand her husband’s strange behavior, his pursuit of employment turns into a brutal test of masculinity, status, and self-worth. “No Other Choice” (2025) becomes a savage black comedy-thriller about unemployment, corporate cruelty, and a respectable man convincing himself that murder is an unavoidable step in the job market.
