Conor and Eleanor live on Manhatten. They are married already a few years, although are very different. She studies in an university. He is a proprietor of small restaurant. Her family (a dad is a professor, mother is a violinist) at one time not very favourably behaved to the choice of daughter. But for Conor and Eleanor all it does not matter, because they created the own world filled with love. Life for them is easy, interesting and beautiful game. But dramatic events change everything, their ideal world collapses, and Eleanor decides to disappear. The name of film sends to the famous song of “Beatles” “Eleanor Rigby”, that tells history of death and loneliness. According to Paul McCartney words, when he wrote text to the song, the name he took, remembering about actress Eleanor Bron, that was taken off together with “Beatles” in a film “For help”, and the last name – from the signboard of grog-shop. According to his opinion, Eleanor Rigby sounded really natural.
