“Bad Monkey” is a black comedy crime drama series based on Carl Hiaasen’s 2013 novel. The show follows the story of Andrew Yancy, a former Miami police detective turned health inspector in the Florida Keys. Andrew Yancy’s life takes a dramatic turn when a tourist finds a severed arm while fishing. This discovery pulls Yancy into a web of corruption and greed that spans from Florida to the Bahamas. Determined to solve the mystery and reclaim his former position, Yancy navigates through a series of quirky locals and dangerous situations. He encounters various suspects, including a real estate developer, a medical examiner, and a woman with a secret past. Adding to the chaos is a troublesome monkey named Driggs, who becomes an unexpected companion in Yancy’s investigation. As Yancy gets closer to the truth, he faces threats from those who want to keep their secrets buried.
