An eight-episode drama takes viewers into the wild seventeenth century. The plot of the series unfolds in a small settlement, on the spot where the Canadian province of Quebec is now located. The Catholic Church sends Jesuit priests to the new world to convert the indigenous population into their faith. France also brings to its lands the “daughters of the king”, young women who must marry, create families, give birth to children and help the colonies flourish.
