The main character is the girl by the name of Catherine Chandler. She works in NYPD as a detective. Because of her professionalism and the relation to work, she has a lot of enemies. In the time, when she was a teenager, she and her mother were attacked by different people. And when her mother died, Catherine realized, that she had a skills of wolf-man. Nobody believe the girl, but then everybody realized, that it is true.
