The plot of the movie “Bel Canto” unfolds somewhere in Latin America at the residence of the Vice-President a luxurious reception is arranged. Guests are going to listen to the famous opera singer Roxana Koss, but in fact the main star on this evening is not she, but the Japanese businessman Katsumi Hosokawa, whom the local authorities want to convince investing in their dysfunctional economy. But the concert will be interrupted by armed men in camouflage. They need a president to whom they intend to make a list of political demands. And the president chose to stay at home.
