“Black Snow” (Season 2) continues the gripping mystery of Detective James Cormack (Travis Fimmel) as he delves into a new cold case while being haunted by his personal quest to find his younger brother who vanished when they were children. However, Cormack’s investigation is complicated by his suspension from the force for assaulting a suspect, and his strained relationship with his father, Tommy, who killed Cormack’s mother and spent time in prison for it. Cormack’s father returns seeking help, claiming that Cormack’s brother is in danger and could be killed if found. The season weaves together the present-day investigation with flashbacks to 2003, exploring Zoe’s life and her relationships with friends, including Sam Kahlil, who is now a police officer. “Black Snow” combines character-driven storytelling with the suspense of a classic whodunit, set against the backdrop of the Australian South Sea Islander community in North Queensland.
