1920. The plot revolves around Atlantic City. The story begins a few hours before the U.S. entered the era of “Prohibition”. Enoch “Nucky” Thompson is the city treasurer and the boss of local criminals with ties at the “top” – decides to take advantage of the situation and get the fabulous profits on the illegal trade in alcohol. But he is not alone yearns to enrich with the new fishery. This interested leaders of criminal gangs of Chicago and Arnold Rothstein, a major financier and speculator from New York.
