In the first aid service of the city of Leeds working several nice guys: Beldon Stewart (Thomas Reese), Ashley Grinvik (Richard Madden) and Rashid Mansur (Kayvan Novak). By occupation they have to communicate with different people and it sometimes turns into ridiculous, funny and even in full of drama situations. Casualties are seen angels of mercy in their faces; colleagues believe their trinity are pedantic know-alls. Stern headmistress Dr. Stella Vudvayn (Annie Halley) sees them as a source of problems. Psychologist Kirsty Shelmerdayn (Morven Christie) unsuccessfully tries to teach them to deal with the inevitable stresses in their work and for Stewards university friend policeman sergeant Maxine Fox (Amy Beth Hayes) they just three overage blockheads! Stewart, Ashley and Rachid just trying to honestly fulfill their obligations – to help people in distress, hiding their experiences, problems and complexes behind the humor.

In the late nineties, a virus has destroyed almost the entire human population, and those who managed to survive, took refuge underground. While scientists have invented a technology of time travel, Cole became the “guinea pig” on which this technology decided to try. He must get samples to research the virus from the past and it will get a full excuse for all his bad deeds. The tv show is a remake of cult film “12 monkeys” directed by Terry Gilliam in 90-s.

The storyline turns in a research base, which is located in a remote and snowy Arctic. During the experiments throughout the base begins to spread dangerous virus. This caused a panic in laboratories, because the virus has a lethal consequences, the one who got infected – waiting for the inevitable death, because of deep damage of the human body. Many scientists involved in the research in the laboratory began to die one for another. The Centre for Disease Control come to a decision: to deliver to the base a group of the best scientists in different directions, in order to identify the source of the virus and to locate and destroy it. Will they prevent the apocalypse?
