In the nineteenth century in Ireland there was a fierce conflict between Catholics and Protestants, which escalated into real enmity. The heroine’s mother did not want to give up her faith, for which her husband began to oppress the woman in every possible way. This led to her death, and Elizabeth stayed with a man who loved her like a daughter.

The plot of the series takes viewers during the reign of Alfred the Great. This man stood at the head of Wessex and was able to repel the Danish Vikings, who seized most of the British lands. The story is dedicated to the young man Utred, who was still in captivity of the Danes in his infancy. The main character grew up, having passed the education of the Vikings. True, now he has to decide which side to take, because the young Viking owes his life to the Scandinavian invaders who raised him, but at the same time British blood still flows in the veins of the main character.

Hicks is corrupt policeman, capable of crossing any line for his family, but Renko is an honest and principled woman who lives alone and does not like to be frank about her personal life. Because of her strong character, the girl has many enemies who try to get rid of her at any cost. Some of them even made a fire in her house, but Renko managed to escape and even harder to take on the capture of criminals. It is at this point that both heroes have a new case about the murder of a hacker, which they will have to investigate against the background of the coming Armagedon.
