As the investigation progresses, it is revealed that DS John Corbett has infiltrated the OCG, but his methods and true intentions are questionable. Corbett’s actions become increasingly erratic, leading to tension and mistrust within the team. The season also introduces Lisa McQueen (Rochenda Sandall), a key member of the OCG, and DCS Patricia Carmichael (Anna Maxwell Martin), who plays a significant role in the latter part of the investigation. The storyline delves into themes of loyalty, betrayal, and the blurred lines between right and wrong.
