“Last Tango in Halifax» is a British romantic tv series, which tells the story about an elderly couple, who found thier happiness in their declining years. Celia Dawson and Alan Buttershaw are seventy now. Both he and she lost the significant other and measured life live widowers of retired. In the fifties, when they were a pair of 16 teenagers that had a romantic feelings but Celia and Alan concealed it from each other. Nowadays, thanks to the grandchildren and Facebook aged meet again to discover that their feelings are not extinguished.
The plot for the show is a real memories of midwives, which are described by famous writer Jennifer Worth. The main charachter of tv series – Jenny who arrives in the poorest district of London in order to understand and help the residents of the East End to solve their medical problems. She settles in Nonnatus with the other nuns. The film shows the everyday life of ordinary midwife, her life, and the life and problems of its patients – often tragic and dramatic situation sometimes shock the viewer. She decides to relax on the countryside and that’s she moved to the charming town called Tilling. The BBC 1 tv show “Mapp and Lucia” is based on the novel of E.F. Bensona. Steve Pemberton has adopted her book to the tv series. Hilary Salmon and Lisa Osborne appears as an executive producers. Mapp and Lucia show gathered a lot of famous British actors.
