Morse is a graduate of the famous Oxford, and it is there that he investigates crimes. The action of the series develops in 1965. Coming to work in the police department as a young constable inspector, Endeavour Morse does not find a common language with his colleagues, mainly those who have been serving here for a long time. However, the inspector has good support – his immediate superior is Detective Inspector. It is the Inspecter who notices that Morse can do more good for the department than many of his subordinates, and the boss also has paternal feelings for Morse, which he prefers not to tell anyone about.
