In the third season, the Arctic Norwegian town is experiencing the consequences of a disaster that happened through the fault of an inhuman corporation. The place of the late governor is occupied by school teacher Marcus Husekleppe, who lost his girlfriend due to the parasite introduced into the town. For the same reason, Sheriff Dan Anderson plunges into the depths of insanity and becomes dangerous to others. Oslo’s authorities send two police officers to Fortitude who have to investigate new killings. Along with obscure goals, a couple of billionaires from the United States arrive in the northern wilderness.
