The series takes place in 1988. The main character, while still a teenager, left her native Australia, hoping to find a better life in London. And she quite succeeded. In the English capital, she is beautifully arranged, lives in a personal mansion, is very rich and enjoys the role of an English housewife raising two children. But after the sudden death of her husband from an extensive heart attack after meeting with a prostitute, it turns out that everything around her is a complete lie. Her financial situation is critical, she is ruined, loses her mansion, society rejects her. She and her children have to return to her native home in Australia, where she will be forced to remember the past, something from which she left the house. It turns out that the story of her life, which she told her acquaintances in London, is also a lie.
