It’s been more than 10 years since our last appointment at Calvin’s Barbershop. Calvin and his longtime crew are still there, but the shop has undergone some major changes. Most noticeably, our once male-dominated sanctuary is now co-ed. The ladies bring their own flavor, drama and gossip to the shop challenging the fellas at every turn. Despite the good times and camaraderie within the shop, the surrounding community has taken a turn for the worse, forcing Calvin and our crew to come together to not only save the shop, but their neighborhood.

The “Uncle Buck” TV series is based on the original shaggy comedy from 1989 year with John Candy. In the story Uncle Bob is an inveterate bachelor with established habits. He’s lazy, he does not really get along with young members of society, but he was always placid and good-natured. He is the one his blood relatives are handing their children to while they are dealing with various problems. The thing is that Uncle Bob is a big kid himself. He needs someone to look after him in the first place. The show has a moral dimension: juveniles will teach Uncle Buck a lot of things and in return will receive a few lessons of vitality from him.
