The comedy series is a tale of two young British aristocrats on their first trip around the United States, interacting with real-life Americans. Georgie and Poppy Carlton are heirs to Caunty Manor, a large country estate in Norfolk, England, where they have enjoyed privileged lives as distant descendants of the British Royal Family. They have agreed to have a camera crew follow them on an unofficial royal tour of the USA. Georgie and Poppy have never worked a day in their lives. Georgie Carlton is the most affable man one could meet. He’s using the trip around America as a way to become more “manly” in order to take on the responsibilities of Caunty Manor and live up to his Father’s legacy. Poppy Carlton is looking forward to raising her profile on the trip around America. She has high hopes of finding fame as a pop star/actor/author/lifestyle guru/cookery presenter. People used to say growing old was a crime. Lennie and Ted are out to prove them wrong. Ted McCabe, a retired cop, and Lennie Cahill, a retired crim, get together to solve crimes, unravel scams and make some much-needed cash, while avoiding the wrath of the police and the underworld. Sure, their history is muddy – the last time they met, Lennie was part of a gang that pulled off an armed car robbery during which Ted was shot, Lennie was arrested and the other gang members either died or got away (with the loot). But now that Lennie has been released from gaol, and Ted’s been pensioned off by the department, there’s something they both want: to find the remaining members of the gang. Lennie wants his cut of the loot. Ted wants to find out who shot him. And they reckon there’s a likely shot it’s the same fella. Lennie and Ted use their collective skills and contacts to solve various other crimes, scams and puzzles. (more…)

Confident, attractive and impervious to outside opinions, 29-year-old Danny — who may be in a state of arrested development himself — decides to help out his new roommate, Justin Kearney, the owner of an unsuccessful bar and a chronic overthinker, and Justin’s group of oddball friends — Shelly, Burski and Brett. Danny introduces the gang to his recently divorced older sister, Leslie, who immediately bonds with this group of guys, as she feels a little stuck in her own life as well. The gang spends most of their time at Justin’s bar, helping solve each other’s respective problems over beers, and while they love to give each other a hard time, they always have each other’s back.
