In the center of the plot – a pair of Soviet spies trained and infiltrated by KGB under the guise of a respectable couple in a suburb of Washington. The action takes place in the midst of the Cold War, after Ronald Reagan presidents election. Philip Jennings (Matthew Rhys) – former police officer. Every day of his life was similar to the previous and next. Routine work did not give hopes for development and career growth – until he was recruited by the KGB. His skills and abilities were quickly approved in this organization. Elizabeth Jennings (Keri Russell) – the most ordinary girl, like lots of in her hometown. However, the KGB recruited her, quickly approved her talent to work in a team. Circumstances lead her to the same department of the KGB that Philip a little earlier.
