The plot of the movie “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri” unfolds in the American south, in Missouri. Police officers in the small town of Ebbing, southerners of both origin and conviction, led by sheriff William Willoughby, instead of investigating real crimes, are engaged in bringing personal scores to residents who for some reasons do not fit in their perception of life on racial or any other grounds.
