In the third season, senior year means big changes for Bay and Daphne, as the Carlton School for the Deaf receives an influx of hearing students who are not happy to be there. Daphne begins working at a free clinic as part of her probation from the Senator Coto blackmail scandal, and bonds with a pre-med student with a spinal injury. Bay is inspired by her art teacher and surprised by her jock classmate, when she takes an art class at a local college. Love/Hate returns for a season 5. Nidge is once again king of all he surveys. With Tommy back in a coma, Siobhan now burns with a desire for retribution. She’s working with Detective Inspector Moynihan who, having suffered a career setback from the failure of his sting operation, is even more determined to bring Nidge down. The tensions between Nidge and the pretender Fran – increasingly violent, erratic and resentful of Nidge’s authority – are starting to spill over into conflict and betrayal.
