The film is based on the true story of writer Hilary Mantel. She wrote  two books of novels scheduled three meetings of Thomas Cromwell. The catastrophic events moving to England in the 1520 year. In the case of a royal death, which did not leave a heir, the state threatens civil war. Henry VIII wants to terminate the family relationship with Catherine of Aragon, but met opposition from the father and the monarchs of Europe. In the battle for the king and his vain feelings interfere with Thomas Cromwell, original, attractive, ambitious dreamer, a romantic and a skeptic.

Biographical thriller “American Sniper” is created by a legendary actor and director Clint Eastwood. The story reveals around the Marine from Texas named Chris Kyle. Chris served as a sniper in Iraq in the 2000s. One of his greatest achievements in the Iraq war was a record for the number of dead enemy soldiers. During a war he killed approximately  hundreds people, for that he was nicknamed by Iraqis the Devil. When Chris arrived back to USA he writes a book where he describes not only the military action, but also the memories of his wife, which gradually turned into a witness of how Chris became very attached to his colleagues and war, and how this attachment grew into addiction…

TV series “Sons of Liberty” tells the story about American War for Independence. The first episode was announced more than a year ago. The plot reveals the story of rebellious and radical group of young people – Sam Adams, John Adams, Paul Rivera and Joseph Warren who secretly gather together to change the course of history and make America an independent nation. Ben Barnes will play Sam Adams, a born leader with charisma and passion to strife (a riot, pranks, etc.) Ryan Eggold play Warren, a doctor and a man of honor and conscience; Michael Raymond-James will play a veteran who joins forces with Adams.

The plot for the show is a real memories of midwives, which are described by famous writer Jennifer Worth. The main charachter of tv series – Jenny who arrives in the poorest district of London in order to understand and help the residents of the East End to solve their medical problems. She settles in Nonnatus with the other nuns. The film shows the everyday life of ordinary midwife, her life, and the life and problems of its patients – often tragic and dramatic situation sometimes shock the viewer. However, the case and funny, comedic moments. The series had such a runaway success like the critics and viewers that the producers decided to filming five seasons in the future. (more…)

This film is a vivid example of free-style adaptation of Greek mythology, which is good precisely because of its liberty. Low rating this film was because of the fact that he perverts… though why distorts rather embellishes and complements the literary source. The film is not only good special effects. I am glad in it everything. Quality visuals but a nice addition to the film, and it’s here at the height used to the maximum. Of the five films I viewed in the cinema this winter, in this picture was the largest number of 3D-effects with bright departures from the screen. I knew what was going on – this movie has left the most positive impression. And is not that enough for the modern blockbuster, shot for the big screen and aimed at a young audience?

What is most like is the division of the image into two parts. First, the action takes place in England where one dullness and infinitely bad weather and a full medical ignorance. Even then, I noted a competent, pleasing the eye atmospheric. But before he could, really dull and enjoy at the same time majestic landscapes, as the hero was going to the east, colorful which just rolls – clothes, the city and even the desert easily dragged me into what was happening, was seen very serious approach to each scenery that and is one of the strengths of this film. But here it is fabulous and deprives the effect of empathy, a happy ending to the face, there is no chance in it and doubt even that small tragedy that still present, very predictable. No stress, just relaxing and enjoying the surface, all in the name of entertainment and nothing more.

The film tells us about the adventures of a small detachment of the Vikings on Scottish soil. Very charismatic young leader, once with his countrymen in a foreign country, decides to spend his unit to the nearest Viking settlement. On the way they face a lot of trouble.Costumes in the film are made good. The Vikings are consistent with historical account, but with the Scots and their mercenaries somehow with some eastern lands they made up a little. Some unimaginable armor, I can even say as a fantasy. Beautiful scenery pleasing to the eye throughout the viewing. Fighting delivered good, no blood splatters liters in all directions. There are no vulgarity and stupidity. In general, the film turned out good enough spectacular, breathtaking developing story.

In recent years, there is a feeling that the movie about the war everybody forgotten how to shoot. It gets pretentious, stupid and unprincipled. The war is coming to an end, the Germans desperately mobilized his last strength, despite the close defeat. At this very moment the commander Don Collier loses a member of his crew, and the replacement gets youngster, who came to the war, we can say casually. It is obvious that such a turn indicates that now his crew became even more vulnerable. David Ayer took a very complex subject and directed the movie is not about the coolness of the American army, and the people in the war. Get a place snobbish, but very real. Great battle scenes involving these tanks look just great, very vividly and honestly. The scene of fighting interspersed with interesting dialogue about the nature of the soldiers on both sides, about their expectations, their simple joys rare at the front. This movie is about the commander’s responsibility to subordinates, the cruelty of war, animal laws. And yet it’s about the fact that even in war there is a place of compassion and mercy. I am not afraid of such a comparison, the best movie about World War II from the time of “Saving Private Ryan.” Great movie.
