Do you ever ask yourself what should be the evening entertainment show? Funny, with 2 times longer than a sitcom; with nice cute actors playing them, of course, can not capture the imagination, but not any little bit annoying; hold the attention of the audience throughout the series – that is simply fantastic, given that there does not occur any sort of significant events. Sometimes it seems that just formed stars and luck to the creators of the series, because neither having any ace in the sleeve and no raisins on the cake, they managed to make such a nice looking show. The main character of Hart of Dixie show is Zoe Hart. Recently she passed her last exams in medical school. Zoe wants to become a cardio-thoracic surgeon and follow her father’s footsteps but her dreams fall apart. That’s why Zoe accepted the proposition from the Dr. Harley Wilkes and moved to a small town in Alabama to approve her practice. The new life of big city girl get started. We show the usual oddities collision town and country: a dip in the mud puddle, disapproval metropolitan belongings, instead of breakfast in bed – frog on a blanket and so on. From the first minute it becomes clear where all this will go: Zoe make friends with the locals survive a couple love drama and will remain there forever. For all that, the show looks very easily and in the same breath. The brain is resting, smiling face – what else is needed after a day? On the masterpiece it is not intended, but it is immediately evident that the creators just wanted to entertain the audience – and they succeeded.
Christophe Gans is trying to combine a fabulous convention and historical realities of the XVIII century, without relying at recreating all the familiar story, perhaps, nothing and no one else, until a certain time and making all morality in the film is too fragile and ephemeral. The main result of the new “Beauty and the Beast” in essence becomes a fact that the film seems to be completely out of the genre, not having truly attractive proportion of bright fairytale narrative, not solid historicism (all historical and social aspect in the film enjoyed a very superficial), which would be compensated complete absence in the film unshakable and enduring sincerity. And in fact through the film permeates only one single sound idea that the love of monsters still required, even if it is only the love of convenience.
The plot in the first half of the picture read, but more what happens is that it did not fit. The promise of this is given in the beginning of the film, but it does not attach importance in the process of watching a movie about it, I had forgotten – so I tightened the story. And here, I must say, hiding one thing that prevented me to put the film the highest rating. Just the first half of the film, albeit with a readable story, but shot so powerful and heartfelt, with such attention to detail and with such a strong feeling that it simply can not leave the viewer indifferent. But then, in my opinion, one storyline is interrupted and another begins. Even if it is linked to the end of the film, but still it looks somewhat aloof. And for such an eventuality, I was not ready. It seemed to me that the emotion at the end of the film was less and sensuality was also less. It seems the filmmakers did not consider that the audience give everything for the first storyline, and the second may not be enough of us. Perhaps the thing in the game Jennifer Connelly and Ripley.
