Two months later, John Crichton – the man from Earth and Aeryn Sun were broken up into crystals on the water planet, their friends manage to finally assemble and revive them. The inhabitants of the underwater world are descendants of adolyns race. They have a ability to inspire good intentions. A living spaceship Moya sent to Arnessku (adolyns homeland), in the hope that they gather with their descendants and will be able to stop the galactic war.

The storyline turns in a research base, which is located in a remote and snowy Arctic. During the experiments throughout the base begins to spread dangerous virus. This caused a panic in laboratories, because the virus has a lethal consequences, the one who got infected – waiting for the inevitable death, because of deep damage of the human body. Many scientists involved in the research in the laboratory began to die one for another. The Centre for Disease Control come to a decision: to deliver to the base a group of the best scientists in different directions, in order to identify the source of the virus and to locate and destroy it.
