Detectives David and Sean Carter are investigating a series of murders committed by a man who calls himself a Mentor. He acts according to the Bible and the commandments mentioned in it. Each of his victims dies, having committed this or that mortal sin. The penultimate were the zealous Catholics, husband and wife, both lawyers. The killer cut off their tongues and chopped them in a blender, then fed the meat to the son of this couple – in front of his mother and father. The next was a girl named Crystal. Her problem is jealousy. Her corpse was found at her home, with an initially uncovered and later sewn up stomach, in which, it seems, there is something. Something alive.
