The film is based on the ideas of physicist Kip Thorne, dealing with the problem of black holes and time travel possibility. Steven Spielberg considered an opportunity to work on this film in 2006 and hired Jonathan Nolan as a writer, but he gave preference to other project. In 2012, after Spielberg gave a final rejection, Nolan suggested to film this movie to his brother Christopher. As a result of ecological disaster sandstorms are slowly but surely destroying the fodder that is threatens to mankind with extinction. Farmer Cooper (Matthew McConaughey) father of two children, a former pilot once conquered the sky on different aircrafts watching the passing shoots his corn fields. By chance he appeared to the secret NASA base with restless Murphy (Mackenzie Foy). He finds out about the program which purpose is intergalactic flight in search of habitable planets. After weighing all the pros and cons Cooper accepts the invitation to travel to the other side of the universe promising his beloved daughter to come back. With each new film, which is quite logical and expected, Christopher Nolan increases the rate, formulating more and more complex and intractable goals and objectives to himself. «Interstellar», is piercing glance at the starry sky, where in addition to the eternal and inescapable beauty are numbers of serious issues to resolve which Tarkovsky, Kubrick and many others worked. While working on the screenplay Christopher Nolan had in mind such works as “Space Odyssey” by Stanley Kubrick, “Star Wars” George Lucas and “Blade Runner” by Ridley Scott.
