Kumiko lives in the old and dirty apartment in Tokyo with her pet – a rabbit named Bunsen. She works in the office, that prepares tea mechanically and goes to the dry cleaners for their narrow-minded boss. In her free time, she looks famous American movie on recorded video tape. Rewinding back and forth, she is trying to determine where a beached diplomat with money appeared. After long hours of watching the film, she is convinced that her destiny - to find the money, Kumiko goes to search for them in the US, in the harsh winter of Minnesota.
