The plot of the movie offers the viewer to go back many years ago, in the late 1950s. The main character is a woman named Florence Green. Most recently, she had to go through a terrible grief. The woman lost her husband and remained a widow. Having no one else from close relatives in this world, the woman does not understand what to do next and why to live. Being in a confused state, the head of the main character suddenly dawned on one thought. Florence decided to open her own bookstore, which she dreamed of almost since childhood.
