Horrible and bloodthirsty events occur in a town located in a remote area of England. But local detectives are not in hurry to investigate crimes. Residents begin to complain to their superiors and the government that the police are not working properly. The main character is sent to this area with certain tasks – to meet a colleague – Dodds, and join forces in the search for the criminal. But the Chief Inspector does not consider the girl as a partner. She constantly drives him, wants to finish the task faster, but he carefully searches for clues and evidence, which irritates her greatly.
