In the center of series “The King” is the story of once successful country singer – Vernon Brownmule. Nearly two decades ago the singer left a scene, preferring to spend all free time on consumption of alcoholic beverages and uproars. But once the main character decides to return on the stage, having chosen new role — imitation of an image of Elvis Presley. However, the trip to Nevada comes to an end sadly: drunk Brown crashes into the building of church and receives punishment in the form of public works for it. Without having desire to work, Brown decides to declare everybody that he is a new pastor of the church.
