San Francisco, 1998. Greg Sestero and Tommy Wiseau dream of conquering Hollywood. Tommy has money, although he does not admit where he got it from, Wiseau also hides his origins and age. He speaks with a strange accent and generally has an eccentric behavior. Upon arrival in Los Angeles, buddies regularly go on castings, but success can not be achieved.
