The plot focuses on a life and family of Maya Cobbina. She is a British lawyer and the first black Director of Public Prosecutions. She deals now with a very complicated case. For long-time Maya is trying to prove the innocence of US death row inmate Rudy Jones, and her husband Nick Johnson. After severe eviedences she begins to suspect that everything she knew about husband to for the past 20 years is a lie.
