“Calvary” devoted to the life of a priest in a small town. He has to bear in the world good and bright, instruct the people on the right path. The main character in the movie “Caviar” Catholic priest Father James (Brendan Gleeson) practice threatens to murder. He motivates his desire that his childhood for a number of years forced the priest, and now, years later, he intends to avenge the insults and humiliation. The protagonist does not see the face of one who intends to kill him, but finds his voice. Avenger gives the priest, week out to put in order their affairs and calls it the following Sunday on the coast – in his opinion, to kill sinless priest on the day of resurrection will give more value to the case. But Father James does not want to prepare for death. He leads his life day by day, instructs on the right path astray, which seems to be infested with this town, absolution, communion dying, helps to recover his daughter after a suicide attempt. John Michael McDonagh began writing the screenplay while filming his debut film “The Guard”, where the main role also starred Brendan Gleeson. Shortly after the filming of “The Guard” has learned that Gleason was invited to play the main role in the new film of McDonagh.
