She raise Norman in pain and suffer. That’s why he became a maniac who lost his own self and head. From that very moment his weak personality float away and more stronger Norma starts to fulfill him. As for the story and the acting, it’s absolutely astonishing and mind-blowing! Freddie Highmore perfectly fits into the role of Norman Bates, he copied the look up Anthony Perkins, his gait, facial expressions, habits, clumsiness. As for Vera Farmiga, she always inimitable! True, many including me were Norma Bates slightly different, to me it seemed a “tyrant” and modern standards, though, and overbearing, but not to this extent.
