At the end of the legendary Victorian era, it was a fashionable and popular activity among locals to photograph dead people. Private detective Brock Blennerhasset quite often deals with mysterious deaths, most of which are intentional murders. When examining a crime scene, a man invariably removes corpses from the camera and then thoroughly examines the pictures. Soon a series of monstrous murders swept through the city. The townspeople are in panic. The hero immediately begins an investigation and finds out that the mysterious maniac not only brutally torments his defenseless victims, but also photographs their faces distorted by fear and disfigured bodies.
