The protagonist of the action is John Wick (Keanu Reeves), he is an assassin. John is fully satisfied with his life, lucrative albeit dangerous work, good house and a loving wife. However, all of his familiar world is falling apart at one day, when his wife suddenly dies. After this terrible event, John is depressed. His best friend and part-time partner Markus (Willem Dafoe) decides to help John, he offers to quit work and start a new life, to do something new and more enjoyable. John being thinking about changing the dangerous profession to something else for recent time, easily agrees. He becomes an ordinary guy but not for a long time… When unknown people stole Johns car and kill his dog, he decided to find them in any way. For professional killers such searches are habitual, so very soon he comes out on their trail.
