The plot of the movie “The Greatest Showman” serves exclusively for edging the songs and to look for some deep meaning in it. Writers do not stay on the complexities or conflicts – they only give an excuse for the next song, and the choreography does the rest. Almost every significant event in the life of heroes is arranged loudly, pathetically and with music. This is so classical musical that it is not necessary to wait for it from the drama – all conflicts are resolved, all villains will retreat, but the main characters will know themselves and their way in life. Trying to live on a minimum wage, the main character – Phineas Taylor Barnum dreams of more and when he is cut from the accountant’s work, he sees in this a chance to open his business, which becomes a museum of unusual things. However, the museum is not popular and Phineas has to revise the concept of the museum in favor of the show with the participation of people with various deviations. The tallest and the lowest man, the thickest and most hairy, bearded woman and Siamese twins – all find shelter under the roof of the “Circus of Barnum” and to Phineas at last comes success. (more…)

The characters of the movie are presented to the viewer by living people with their weaknesses and shortcomings. At the moment of terrible danger, courage and comradeship do not leave them. The adventures of the heroes are accompanied by oppressive music and beautiful, but ominous misty landscapes of the forest and mountainous terrain. The movie “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” is an adventure comedy that returns to the screens of the concept of an unusual game that improbably affects the players. It all starts with the fact that a group of teenagers will discover a mysterious video game that will drag them into themselves. There they have to reincarnate in their game avatars, become the chosen characters. Naturally, as in any game, the number of lives can be very limited, so that in order to stay alive, the main characters need to explore their abilities, discover new abilities of the characters and, of course, act together, avoiding conflicts in their company, and showing friendship, help and mutual assistance. Each develops in its own sphere. The lady is a connoisseur of food, her husband is a writer-traveler. And for a quiet town they are very bright personalities. And it haunts curious madam Gaffney. Especially there is much free time, why not to start shadowing?

Suburbicon is a small one-story town in America. The action of the movie “Suburbicon” takes place in the 60s of the last century. Suburbicon is a wonderful summer town where nice people live, and in which nothing ever happens. It is about two families, completely different, united only by the friendship of children. In this nice little town, an African-American family dared to settle, than the local residents were very unhappy. The intolerance of society as a whole, the willingness to poison someone because of the color of skin, is combined with internal rot, which begins to emerge from those who at first sight are quite decent. The plot of the movie “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri” unfolds in the American south, in Missouri. Police officers in the small town of Ebbing, southerners of both origin and conviction, led by sheriff William Willoughby, instead of investigating real crimes, are engaged in bringing personal scores to residents who for some reasons do not fit in their perception of life on racial or any other grounds. The theme of combating injustice and imperfection of the authorities goes through the whole plot. But the movie is more about people, specific individuals and their development within it all.
