“The Ritual” is a typical horror movie. Four friends go hiking in the Swedish forests and mountains. Once deviating from the planned route, they fall into a bad story. The characters of the movie are presented to the viewer by living people with their weaknesses and shortcomings. At the moment of terrible danger, courage and comradeship do not leave them. The adventures of the heroes are accompanied by oppressive music and beautiful, but ominous misty landscapes of the forest and mountainous terrain. The trees seem to surround you from all sides, and for every one imagines an evil creature, and the crunch of branches can drive you mad.
