“Boy Erased” is an autobiographical book of the journalist Garrard Conley, transferred to the screen. He was born to a religious family, his father was a Baptist pastor, so when the student realized that in his romantic dreams he was dreaming about boys and not girls, the pastors’ council and parents decided to send him for conversion therapy. Just at the period from the life when Conley was undergoing therapy, this film fixes its attention.
