The action of the movie “The Bookshop” takes place in the late 1950s. It is based on the novel of the same name by the famous English writer Penelope Fitzgerald. The plot of the movie offers the viewer to go back many years ago, in the late 1950s. The main character is a woman named Florence Green. Most recently, she had to go through a terrible grief. The woman lost her husband and remained a widow. Having no one else from close relatives in this world, the woman does not understand what to do next and why to live. Being in a confused state, the head of the main character suddenly dawned on one thought. Florence decided to open her own bookstore, which she dreamed of almost since childhood.
