The hero of the film “Wind River” is in deep depression. He tries not to communicate with people, and therefore changed the promising work in the big city to a place in the department of hunting and fishing in order to control the predator population in the former Indian reservation, where he will not have to contact anyone other than animals. Every day of his new life he went through one scenario, until the man found the body of the murdered girl. The FBI, who considered this case not important, entrusted it to a young and inexperienced Jane Banner. But arriving at the place the girl realized that it is not possible to move alone along such a large territory, on which, moreover, wild animals are found. She needs a guide, and for this role the unsociable connoisseur of Indian trails Ranger Cory Lambert is suited. Together they go into the back of the reservation in search of an unknown killer.
