Blaming herself for underestimating the tornado, Kate quits storm chasing and takes a job at a NOAA office in New York City. Five years later, Javi convinces Kate to return to Oklahoma to test a new tornado scanning system using phased-array radar. Reluctantly, Kate agrees and joins Javi’s team, Storm Par. They soon find themselves competing with Tyler Owens, a popular YouTube storm chaser known as the “Tornado Wrangler,” and his team.
