Biographical series “American Soul” tells about the personal and professional life of the American entrepreneur, producer and TV presenter Don Cornelius. In 1971, the Soul Train music program appeared on American television, broadcasting performances of various musical genres: rhythm and blues, soul and hip-hop, sometimes funk, jazz, disco and gospel. The show was aired until 2006, by which time more than 1,100 issues had been filmed.

Oscar Wilde, after two years of hard labor, where he was sent for “gross obscenity” with males, is leaving for continental Europe, away from general harassment. He has almost no money, and his friends, with the exception of a few close ones, turned away from the famous writer. But this does not prevent Wilde from embarking on everything serious: he arranges booze and mass orgies for the last money, and during a break between them he cries for the family left in England and tells the story of the Happy Prince to two Parisian rags. The new movie “Colette” will tell about the difficult women’s share and the difficult history of the struggle of the fair sex for their rights. The movie retells the twists and turns of the French writer Sidonie-Gabriel Colette, who, due to her youth and inexperience, married the venerable Parisian critic and writer Henri-Gautier Villars, who turned out to be a complete nonentity – both in human and professional terms. Seeing the disappointment of his wife and recognizing her longing for her native rural Burgundy, the enterprising scribbler turns this in his favor.

Early 1960s, New York. Tony Vallelongi, who worked as a bouncer in the club, remained without work for a while. You have to pay for the apartment, and you will not leave the children hungry, so the hero cannot afford to sit idle. Here the phone call is very opportunely: a certain doctor Shirley really needs a driver, will not Tony come for an interview? And so he in a suit declares to the apartment above Carnegie Hall, where it turns out that Dr. Shirley is no doctor, but a virtuoso pianist with a couple of degrees, and, most importantly, he is black. Don Shirley needs not just a driver, but a man who can protect him under any circumstances and get him out of any problems, since he is going to go on a tour to the southern states for two months.
