The humble city of Modesto is far inland from San Francisco, surrounded by farmland. Parts are pastoral, while others are grittier with rising crime due to gangs, drug trafficking and addiction. All over the news are reports about a young couple who were attacked in their home. Matt Skokie, a war vet, was killed and his wife, Lily, was raped and beaten unconscious. This tragedy sends shock waves into the community, stirring up tensions across racial lines, and connecting victims, suspects, and their families. Matt’s father Chuck has flown in from Arizona for the grim job of identifying his son’s body. He and his ex-wife Barb haven’t seen each other in a long time and she is still angry with Chuck for his gambling addiction that destroyed their family. The police are about to arrest four suspects. Police get Hector, who proclaims his innocence, to give up petty crook Carter. He and his 20-year-old white girlfriend, Aubry, are methheads and always looking to buy. The investigation takes a turn when a search of the couple’s home reveals a disturbing secret. The case has just gotten bigger and the players will have their lives torn apart. The plot of the upcoming TV show will be based on the Broadway play by Neil Simon’s “The Odd Couple”. Matthew Perry, in addition to the leading role, will also be a co-wrote (with John Keenan of the “Losers”) and one of the executive producers of the project. Heroes of Simons original play are two guys sharing a living space. Matthew Perry will play a character named Oscar Madison – carefree scruff. And who will make him company and perform the role of Felix Unger, squeamish bore, which is clearly not happy with his neighbor, is still unknown. Interpretation of the play “The Odd Couple” have already taken place: in 1967 released the eponymous film with Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon, and after 30 years – a sequel with the same actors. Also, a serial embodiment of Neil Simon’s work was made in 1970 in the broadcast channel ABC and lasted for five seasons.

Upcoming American television series, which is another spin-off  «CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.” The series will be released on CBS in the season 2014-2015. The main role of special agent Ryan Avery, who heads the department of cybercrime in Quantico, Virginia, will be performed by Patricia Arquette. CBS has announced the development of the next spin-off at February 18, 2014. And on April 30 came built in the fourteenth season of the main series pilot episode. May 9, 2014, CBS ordered the shooting of the first season of the series for broadcasting in the 2014-15 TV season’s. The idea of the show is that the technology has changed our world to such an extent that the faceless criminals commit crime on a global scale at the touch of a button. Special Agent Ryan Avery should solve crimes that originate in the heads, take place online and are reflected in the real world.
